Overall, what stands out from the graph is that increasing and decreasing both lines are parallel most of the time. Furthermore, 2015 witnessed a dramatic climb in the number of closed stores, whereas the number of stores that opened saw a considerable decrease in 2012.
To begin with , the closures fluctuated a lot throughout the years , starting in 2011 with 6.500 stores and then falling sharply till 2015. After declining considerably nearly 500 stores closed in 2015, the figures then rose gradually starting from 2016 to 2018.
Looking at the numbers of opened stores in detail, it is clear that in 2012, it witnessed a rapid decline . Then this numbers went up between 2012 and 2014 , 6000 stores opened respectively.
Afterwards, the amounts of launched stores slightly fell till the end of the period.
