The two maps show the blueprint of the Southside shopping mall : one depicts its current layout while the other shows its proposed layout after expansion .
Overall , it is clear that the revised layout proposes to expand the mall to include more stores , with fashion stores being in the limelight , and parking space at the expense of the park and the golf course .
Currently , Southside mall consists of only a noodle shop, a cafe , cinemas , a department store , a children’s play area , toilet facilities and supermarket . To the east of the mall is a golf course and a park , while to the south is a fitness centre .
The new proposed layout ,however , changes everything except the supermarket and the toilet facilities – adding fashion stores , a beauty salon , shoe stores , a cosmetic store and even an info centre ! the most significant change is the proposed demolition of the park and the golf course for the expansion of the mall itself . the department store has also been increased in size with an added entrance , making entry and exit easier for customers. the fitness centre is also demolished to make way for the increased parking space . However , the one drawback includes there being no place to eat , since the cafe has been replaced with the info centre .
