The maps illustrate the layout of the art gallery in 2005 and its current appearance.
Overall, it is clear that there has been a dramatic change in the structure of art gallery, particularly in the development of the exhibition rom4 and the gallery office. It is also worth mentioning that some features, such as entrance and exhibition rooms, have remained more or less unchanged over the given period.
In 2005, the art gallery had a relatively simple layout. Starting from the north, there were stairs situated between a cafe and the exhibition room3. Moving southwest, the exhibition room4 occupied this part of the gallery. In the north of the exhibition room4, there was a gallery office. The exhibition room1 was situated at the southeastern corner of the map and next the exhibition room2. In the central part of the area, the reception and the entrance hall were located. At the bottom of the map, the entrance could be found between exhibition room 4 and 1.
By now, the art gallery has transformed substantially, becoming a more visitor-friendly area. The exhibition room4 has been converted into a temporary exhibition and a children’s area, while the cafe and the gallery office have been replaced by a gallery shop and a vending machine. A lift has been situated adjacent to the exhibition room3 by reducing the area of the stairs. By moving the reception and the entrance hall from north to south, some empty area emerged in the north. A ramp for wheelchair appeared in the outside part of the building, behind the children’s area. The entrance, the exhibition room 3, 2 and 1 remained unchanged.
