The given table illustrates how many people in every category of age group working for four sectors in the UK between 1998 and 2006.
Overall, there were four sectors which were called hotel and catering, building, technology and education to compare in each age groups working: 18-25, 26-35, 36-45, 46-55, 56-65 between 1998 and 2006.
In 1998, builders were the highest figure in 18-25 years old with 112 565 workers. Despite this initial dominance, they saw a decrease in the number of workers to 86 430. Interestingly, they declined not only in 18-25 age group, but also in every single categories of ages. The next sector which experienced a significant growth was technology from 1998 to 2006. In 1998, 26-35 and 36-45 age groups were an important categories for technology sector because they had a strong connection in these age groups with 63889 and 18452 respectively. Over a eight-period-time, there were a crucial increase in the number of workers in each ages category and it ended with domination of 26-35 years old group again.
Over a period time, there were two sectors which fluctuated in each categories of ages: hotel & catering and education.
In the hotel and catering, only 18-25 age group declined noticeably from 25,764 to 18998 while others showed a remarkable increase between 1998 and 2006. Moreover, Education sector faced a significant decline in 56-65 years old group. This category almost halved while other categories fluctuated slightly in the number of workers.
