Dear Kate,
It seems like ages since we last met. I was truly happy to know that you have set up your own company. I am writing to thank you for the opportunity that you gave me and explain the reason for my rejection.
I believe that your idea to open a translation company, which is able to meet every custom’s needs providing them with translation from all popular languages, is a breakthrough idea. Firstly, in the era of globalization, people build relationships around the world, forge international partnerships, and study abroad. All this requires a mediator who can guarantee a barrier-free communication. Additionally, your own will give you a financial freedom and boast your confidence.
I am grateful to you for your offer, but for some objective reasons I have to refuse. Having received your proposal, I was in two minds, because we have always dreamt about making money together; however, the list of pros and cons helped me to reach my final decision.
Being your business partner or becoming a shareholder sounds attractive, but I lack necessary knowledge in a commercial filed like management and analytical skills. Plus, I am a responsible performer, but not a leader. It is honored to me to become a part of your team, yet I appreciate our long-term friendship more.
Once again thank for your letter. I wish your translation company thrives for many more years.
Best regards,
Vika
