Dear Pat,
Thank you for inviting me to your party last weekend. I hope this letter finds you in radiant health, and that you are doing well. I’m just writing this letter to inform you that I forgot my coat at your place last week.
When I got home after your party, I went straight to just chill in the sitting room and watch the news. In the news, I saw that there will be a big snowstorm next week, and that’s when I realized I didn’t bring my coat home.
I left my coat in your house. I don’t remember many details, but I think I left the coat behind the sofas, and there is my engagement ring in the pocket. The coat is brown, and it’s the one you gifted me last year on my graduation.
If you find it, let’s meet up at the university, where my little sister is attending. And please make sure no one knows about the ring, otherwise, I’ll get into a fight with my fiancée.
Looking forward to seeing you again.
Kind regards,
Philisiwe Ndebele.
