The graph shows the percentage of first year teachers in Ontario, who landed regular teaching position from 2001 to 2007, comparing between English language and French language teachers.
Initially, in 2001, 70 % of both groups gained permanent jobs. But, a very significant decline in employment among English Language teachers occured their work level reduced to 50% in 2002.
French language educators also encountered that issue , but returned stable level quickly. In addition, since 2003 gap between the two groups of tutors increased. French language teachers preserved employment level from 65% to 75% , whereas English language teachers as well faced difficulties in 2007, less than 30% secured permanent jobs. This trend shows the growing demand for French educators. It may be because of the necessity of this kind educationi n Ontario.
In conclusion, French language teachers are highly sought in workplace than English language educators
