In 1960, town A recorded 41% of the employment in the manufacturing field, however, it reduced to about 20% in 2010. Similarly, sales also witnessed a decline from 30% (1960) to 16% (2010). On the other hand, services observed a dramatic rise in its employment rate from 41% (1960) to 64% (2010), making it the dominant sector.
In town B, the number of workers increased in all three sectors. Like town A, the number of employees in the service sector rose from 10% to 25%, while sales saw minimal growth of only 2% reaching 22% (2010) from 20% (1960). The manufacture field had a significant number of employees at 70% in 1960, however, it declined to 53% by the end.
