The pie chart illustrates statistics data on people from various household types living in poverty in the United Kingdom in 2002.
As can be seen from the chart, based on the data, sole parents and singles without children were most affected by poverty, whereas couples without children and the elderly couples were least impacted.
According to the graph, sole parents and singles without children are two groups whose percentages were higher than 20%, with 26% and 24% of each household type respectively. Following this, couples with children are the most second impacted group, representing 15% of the total segment. It is also noticeably mentioned that the percentage of all households was 1% lower (at 14%). However, just 9% of couples without children were impoverished, followed by 7% of single aged persons. The aged group made up the smallest category, with only 5% of overall people were affected by poverty.
