Initially, in 1988, the shiftlessness was at its highest point at 17%, then it fluctuated in next 8 years and in 1996, dipped by 5%. Four years later, 2000 saw a significant fall in the percentage when unemployment had decreased approximately twice and showed lowest point of trend. From 2000 to 2008, number variated minimally and in final year, it had peaked by no more than 1%.
In 1988 the maximum point of moving was demonstrated with almost 60,000 shifting from Ireland; by contrast, it was followed by rapid decrease of number that plunged in 2 times, by 1992. Next 12 years, until 2004 the amount was varying slightly, and finally, in last 4 years figure had surged considerably by more than 20,000 citizens.
