The above table depicts the statistics of social and economic indicators conducted by the United Nations for four countries, they are Canada, Japan, Peru, Zaire in the year 1994.
From the given data it is obvious that Japan had the highest annual income for person i. e, $15760 followed by Canada with $11100. Where Peru and Zaire have very low annual per income and both these do not have any sharp difference in their annual income per person. The Japan again tops the list with the highest life expectancy at birth by 76, followed by Canada with 76 and in case of Peru and Zaire it’s relatively low when compared to remaining countries.
It is interesting to note that Canada people consume 3326 calories a day which is a lot more than Japan, Peru and Zaire on the contrary when we see the adult literacy rate of the four nations out of them, Canada and Peru have an excellent adult literacy rate with 99% with Peru dragging behind with 68% and finally Zaire with 34%.
So we can agree that people have better life in Canada and Japan than in Peru and Zaire in accordance to the statistics of indicators provided by United Nations.
