The graph compares genders by the number of students owning a smartphone at Redwood School from 2012 to 2019.

It can be concluted from the graph that the proportions between boys and girls who use a smartphone were not that different over the period shown. It is clear that mobile phones became more and more popular among the all students at school year by year.

In 2012, around 110 boys and 90 girls had their own phones and after 2 years, the numbers have doubled. In 2015, the number of female students who own a smartphone overtook male students number, with about 300 and 280 respectively.

By 2019, girls number fluctuated. Boys number were about at the same level for the last 4 years, with 310 students who use their own phones, compared to 270 girls in 2016, 315 girls in 2017, 300 girls in 2018 and 320 gilrs in 2019.
