Overall, the figure for the number of students who had smartphones is almost the same for boys and girls. Another significant point is that smartphone was lowest in 2021, as compared to other years.
In 2012, around 110 boys and 90 girls had their own phones and in 2013,the figures doubled. The numbers continued to increase and topped at a higher point at about 280 boys and 295 girls.
In 2016, more boys owned phones than girls, with about 310 and 250. By 2019, the number of girls fluctuated while the figures for boys remained the same during the last 3 years, with 310 students who used their own phones, as compared to 320 girls in 2017, 300 girls in 2018 and 320 girls in 2019.
