There are two charts. They shows us percentage of households with electrical appliances and Number of hours of housework per week per houselhold. And both of the researches done in 1920-1929.
In the first chart, we compare the 3 household machines,(washing machine, refrigerator, vacuum cleaner) ın 1920s no one using the refrigerator , but wahing machine and vacuum cleaner have same percentage. But in the future, refrigetor has significant percentage rising. And we look at the washing machine spesifically, there is no significant incearese even between 1980s and 2019s there is stability. To sum up, over the years,refrigerator and vacuum cleaner have rising but the vacuum cleaner ran steadily without any significant differences.
Secondly if we look at the second charts, it says there has been a decline over the years. In the beginnig the hours of housework per week was 50 but in the 2019s the percentage about 11.
In conclusion, percentage of households with electrical appliances is rising however number of hours of housework is declining.
