The table chart represents information about the consumer expenditure on various items in five countries such as Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Turkey for the year 2002. The categories including foods, drinks, tobaccos, clothing, footwear, leisure and education.
In overall, Turkey demonstrates the most significant expenditures in the categories of food, drink and tobacco, as well as leisure and education whereas Italy leads the considerable in clothing and footwear expenditure.
Turkey recorded the highest expenditure percentage of food at 32.14% followed by Ireland at 28.91%. Spain accounted for 18.80% whereas Italy and Sweden presented the lowest percentages at 16.36% and 15.77%.
Turning to the clothing and footwear category, Italy emerged with lider percentage at 9% while Turkey closely lag with 6.63%. The other countries shows almost similar figures, Spain at 6.51%, Ireland at 6.43% and Sweden at 5.40%.
About in the leisure and education category, Turkey again led with 4.35%. Sweden and Italy at 3.22% and 3.20%. Ireland and Spain reported the lowest expenditures at 2.21% and 1.98%.
