The bar charts compare the percentage in terms of water levels in reservoirs in six cities in Australia, namely Darwin, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Canberra, over a one-year period from October 2009 to October 2010.
Overall, it can be seen that all reservoirs experienced an increase, with the exception of Darwin and Brisbane. Canberra had the highest water level in 2010, while Melbourne experiences the smallest change in both years.
Starting with Melbourne, it was the lowest in 2009, showing only 25%. By 2010, it grew to 37% similar with that of Darwin. Perth was the second lowest city in terms of water level in 2009, showing 40% in 2009 and increased to 60% in 2010. Darwin came next with decreasing water levels from 2009 to 2010, showing 45% and 38% respectively.
If we look at the higher water levels in 2009 and 2010, Canberra came top of the list with increasing number from 2009 to 2010, showing 75% and nearly 100% respectively. Sydney came next with 75% in 2009 and 5 per cent higher in 2010. With respect to the water levels in Brisbane, it showed no change in both given years, respective numbers being 55%.
