Overall, the size of the building has remained unchanged. The central table and chairs have been removed and more facilities have been included like the cafe, computer room and the self-service machines.
20 years ago, the enquiry room was immediately on the right with the reading room on the left of the building. Beyond this area, there was an open space for adult fiction and non-fiction books, with central chairs and tables. The entertainment and children books room were located at the back of the building on the left and right respectively.
The current floor plan now has a computer room and cafe upon entry on the left and right respectively. Then an open space with the self-service machines, adult fiction books and all reference books. Situated at the back of the building is the lecture room to the right and a room to the left that contains children fiction books, some sofas, where story telling events take place.
