The two pie charts illustrate the proportional change of people using five different types of methods for traveling to university between 2004 and 2009.
It is clear that a noticeable transformation took place in people’s way of going to university between 2004 and 2009. Initially, people preferred cars for transportation, accounting for half of all methods. In contrast, trains were the least favored. However, by 2009, buses had become more popular, overtaking cars, while trains became the least preferred vehicle.
It is evident that the proportion of people associated with bus underwent a significant transformation, from 33% to 46% , in five years. Furthermore, a gradual upsurge in the people who preferred trains and walking can be observed from 3% and 4% to 4% and 6%, in 2005 and 2009, respectively. People who preferred bicycle exprienced a significant increase from 9% to 15%.
A notable downward trend was evident in the proportions of individual who preferred bus which plummeted from 33% to 44% between five years.
