The tables demonstrate the data about trade of Fairtrade-labelled coffee and bananas in UK, Switzerland, Denmark, Belgium and Sweden between 1999 and 2004.
Overall, the trade of coffee rose in all countries in the 1999 and 2004 years period. In UK, Switzerland and Denmark sales of bananas increased in given period, in contrast other two countries rates slightly declined.
Switzerland’s trade of coffee ranked first with rate 3 millions of euros in 1999, while all other countries sold their coffee only for up to million euros. In 2004 highest sales of coffee were in UK increasing it’s initial rates nearly 10 times. Denmark, Belgium and Sweden saw slightly increase by 2004.
Britain’s initial point on sales of bananas was 15 million euros in 1999, however at last year it sharply rose nearly above 3 times. Sales of bananas in Switzerland and Denmark saw significant grow about 5 times from 1999 to 2004, and lowest sales were in Belgium and Sweden.
