The bar chart gives information about the percentage of the people who use four modes of transport – bus,car, bicycle and walking in a European city in given separate years – 1960,1980 and 2000.Overall,the proportion of bus ,bike and foot users followed a downward trend ,while the opposite was true with the share of car users.It is also clear that the proportion of people who use cars showed the highest rate among others.
In 1960,the bus was used by approximately 18% of people on a yearly basis,which steadily rose to a chart high of 25% in the following 2 decades.Despite,a significant increase this figure observed a sharp decline reaching around 15%,even lower than it’s initial percentage.The figure for bike started higher at 25 %,and then there was a consistent drops making up around 5 % at the end.In spite of its initial dominance in 1960, the percentage of walkers’ decreased sharply from around 34% to around 9%.
When it comes to ,car users,their proportion was around 5% in the first year,which is the lowest among others.Although this figure rocketed to aound 35 at the end of the year.
