The bar chart compares the amount of tourists who visited 3 different countries: the UK and the US and Japan between 2 years, 1995 and 2005 while the line graph compares the amount of two types of travel: staying at resorts and backpacking. Overall, in the first period Japan was the leader with the highest amount of tourists while in the next period the UK and the US caught up and become the highest one. On the line graph staying at the resorts was really common among tourists but this type of travel saw a sharp decline while backpacking experienced a steady growth.
In the bar chart, Japan was the highest in 1995 with 1.4 million visitors while the UK and the US had 800000 and slightly above 400000, respectively. In the next period in 2005, the UK and US saw a sharp growth with the same figure which is 1.4 million tourists while Japan experienced a noticeable decrease to exact 1 million figure.
In the line graph, resorting travelers number started at just above 1.5 million in 1995 and grew until it reached its peak which is exactly 2.5 million visitors in around 2000 year, but after its peak it experienced a sharp decline, which ended up with about 1.25 million travelers. While backpacking travelers started with approximately 400000 people in 1995. It grew steadily until the end of the period reaching to around 1.20 people.
