The bar chart illustrates the number of tourists who travelled to Australia from 3 different countries UK, US and Japan in 1995 and 2005. The line graph gives information about the type of holiday travellers spent which is categorized into staying at resorts and backpacking.
Overall, it is apparent that the highest number of visitors who travelled to Australia were mainly from Japan in 1995, and from UK and US in 2005. Moreover, the trend of backpacking increased gradually, however staying in a resort was more common than backpacking, it was highest in 2000, but then it experienced a fall afterwards.
According to the bar graph, In 1995, 14 lakh travellers were from Japan, followed by 8 lakh from UK. While the least belonged to US, just above 4 lakh. In contrast, in 2005, visitors increased by 6 lakh from UK and almost triple from US, both reached at the same level at 14 lakh. However, tourists from Japan experienced a decline and fell at 10 lakh.
Moving on to another graph, in 1995, people who preferred to backpack were nearly 4 lakh, however it rose gradually to approximately 11 lakh bh 2005. Conversely, more than 15 lakh travellers were staying at resorts in 1995, it surged dramatically to 25 lakh in 2000, before falling nearly to 12 lakh in the last year.
