The chart compares the proportions of male and female participants who took part in five types of sports at least once during the month. Overall, it’s clear that gender differences can be seen in most sports. Male participication in football and running was remarkably higher than that of females, while tennis and ice-skating were a great deal more popular among women than men. Basketball was the only sport in which mens and womens participication rates were equal.
Regarded the figure for men in footbal was a dramatically higher, exceeded the figure for women by 50%, this means that, the female football player was almost one third of the figure for male players. The second sport where men are in the lead, is running, accounted for nearly 50%, while women participication makes up only nearly 27%, small difference compared to footbal, but still significant.
Two noticeable sports, where female particications dominate the sport: tennis and ice-skating. In tennis, female participants topped the list making it the highest figure 40%, in contrast to men who stood at only 30%. Ice-skating was also considerably more popular among women, accounting for 56%, while men made up 25%. A sport in which men and women were equal is basketball, both genders accounted for approximately 18%.
