The given chart gives information about the number of applicants to tertiary education in one European nation by global contestants, over the period of four years, spanning from 2004.
Overall, what stands out from the graph is that while the figure admission profile of China exhibited a diminishing trajectory, the tendencies for USA show a contrasting pattern. Notably, the most dramatic was seen in Russia’s figure which remained the lowest of all four regions.
As the graph suggests, the number of China’s applicant declined significantly around 27.000 to 17.000 applicants from 2004 to 2006, after which it remained stable at around 17.000 for the following years. In 2008, the statistics experienced a downward tendency nearly 15.000 applicants. On the other hand, a steady increase around 2.500 USA’s applications were submitted year on year.
In terms of Japan’s applicants, there were no significant difference approximately 6.000 to 10.000 applicants, between 2004 and 2008. On top of that, there were consistently fewer applicants from Russia than from any of the other four countries roughly under 5.000 applicants during the same time.
