The line graph below made a comparasion of SAT math scores categorized by gender between 1992 and 2000 in a school. It is clear that the average SAT score of both gender rose significantly over the years. However, males performance were always higher than female during the period given.
The mean score of males remained stable despite fluctuations at around 500 points from 1992 to 1994. There was a reamarkable upward trend from 505 points to 525 points in mens’ performance between 1994 and 1997. In the next year, males’ score reached its peak of 530 score, then remained unchanged during the rest of the period.
A dramatic growth from 460 to 490 points was recorded in females’ math result during a period of 3 years from 1992 to 1995. The mean women math scores surge to 520 points in 1996. Starting at 520 points in 1996, the average SAT math score for female rose moderately and attained its highest point in the year 2000.
