The pie charts compare the ages of social media users on three different platforms: Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.
It is noticeable that people aged 18-34 and 35-49 comprise the main users on each social media platform. By contrast, other age groups show low usage rates.
It is visible that social media users within the 18-34 age group account for 26% and 29% on Facebook and YouTube, respectively, and are approximately 14% higher on Twitter, at 40%. A similar trend can be seen when we look at people in the 35-49 age range. This group accounts for 29% on YouTube and Twitter and 1% higher on Facebook, at 30%.
The figures for other age groups are not dramatically different, but for children between 10 and 17 years old, they account for 14% and 15% on Facebook and YouTube, respectively; by contrast, it is 5% lower on Twitter, at 9%. The age group between 50-64 ranges similarly at 18%, 19%, and 20% on the apps. Finally, people aged 65 and over account for 4% on Twitter, but are two times higher on Facebook, at 8%, and 10% on YouTube.
