The table demonstrate figures on the number of Australian individuals who visited the seven most popular destination between 1999 and 2009
Overall, it is clear that the number of tourists increased in all destinations, and China had a highest growth rate in seven countries. Remarkably, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States were the highest figures, whereas China, Fiji, and Japan attracted the fewest tourists in both years.
Starting in 1999, most countries using English had the largest number of tourists, with New Zealand attracting 500,700 tourists. This was followed by the United Kingdom and the United States, with 400 and 300 million travelers, respectively. The number of visitors who went to Indonesia was averaged at 150 million. By contrast, Fiji, China, and Japan were not fond of visiting, with 120, 100, and 86 million travelers, respectively.
Turning to 2009, the number of visitors to New Zealand had been steadily increasing at 1,064 thousand, followed by the United Kingdom and the United States with 640 and 400 million. With four Asian countries, Indonesia was the first record in attracting visitors with 340 million, then Fiji and Japan slightly rose at 257 and 250 million. China had a considerable increase to 300 million visitors, becoming the country with the highest growth rate.
