Overall, it is apparent that Japan was the highest overall spender in female workforce, while Egypt occupied the lowest peak among countries. Furthermore, the percentage of female seniors was seen lowest in Sri Lanka.
The percentages of women participation in the workforce varied considerably across five countries. In terms of Japan, which dominated the highest figure among regions, at 48%, followed closely by the US ranked the second highest of those with 46%, its figure lower than Japan by just 2%. In contrast, Egypt recorded by far the lowest proportion, at only 20%. Meanwhile, there was a relatively similar level of female workforce participation in Australia and Sri Lanka, at 42% and 41% respectively.
On the other hand, the percentage of women in senior management has seen an upward trend. The representation of women was witnessed less in the index in Japan by 17%. Australia and the United Sites shared the highest percentage, both at 43%. Sri Lanka and Egypt had the least representation of female managers, at only 9% and 12% respectively. In addition, Sri Lanka showed a substantial gap between female participation in the workforce and representation in management positions, with figures of 41% and 9% respectively.
