Over four decades country C underwent a similar transformation as country A, with services showing considerable rise to 80%. This growth was accompanied by a decline in the percentage of the workforce in both, industry and agriculture, 25% and almost 3% in 2020.
In contrast, country B started the period with agriculture reported as the dominant sector (55%), while the percentage of industry and services was approximately 20% and 25% in 1980. In 2020 agriculture’s figures experienced a fall to about 45%, whereas the employment in services significantly increased to just over 40%. Similarly, the figures for industry grew dramatically, reaching 40% at the end of the period.
