The bar chart illustrates the distribution of employment in three different categories – agriculture, services, and industries in three diverse nations – between 1980 and 2020. Overall, the changes were moderate in the figures. Countries A and C recorded similar trends, regardless their differences, whereas, the changes were different in the figure for a country B. In addition, the proportion of the services was higher, with the exception of country B.
In 1980, the proportion of services made up around 45% and 68% , which was followed by a slight increase to 55% and 80% in 2020, at country A and C, respectively. By contrast, the opposite trend was observed in the figure for industry, the former country declined from 30% to about 25%, similarly, the latter from approximately 32% to 26%. The percentage of agriculture remained unchanged over given periods in both countries, at 20% and just above 3%.
Country B, on the other hand, showed different changes in its figures, with services accounting for roughly 30% in 1980, and 42% in 2020. While, industry increased noticeably in the respective numbers, from 20% to around 38%, the figure for agriculture declined moderately to approximately 48%, down from 68%.
