In 1980, services had the largest employment rate in country A, at about 45%, while the industry sector followed with 30%. The lowest employment rate was seen in agriculture, which accounted for 20%. In 2020, the figures for services increased by about 10%, reaching up to 55%. In contrast, industry declined over time, falling to 25% by the end of the period, while agriculture figures remained unchanged.
When it comes to country B, agriculture was the leading employer with around 63%, followed by services, which made up about 26%. The lowest employment rate was observed in the industry sector, at 20%. After 40 years, agriculture remained at the top with 58%, despite a decline in its figures. Shares of both industry and services increased, making up about 38% and 42%, respectively.
As for country C, services employed the largest proportion of people at the beginning of the period, accounting for about 65%. The services sector was followed by the industry sector, which made up approximately 38%, while agriculture employed the least percentage of people, constituting only about 8%. In 2020, the figures for the services field increased to 80%, while the reverse was observed in the industry sector, which dropped to 23%. The employment rate of the agriculture sector did not show any changes over time, staying at about 8%.
