Overall the UK inported the largest quantity of tea, while Canada record highest import of coffee, in contras germany, imported the least amount of both beverages among the four countries
Looking at coffee imports first, Canada lead with about 8,000 tonnes, followed by the USA at around 7,000 tonnes, the UK only about half as much, roughly 4,000 tonnes, while germany had a slightly lower figure, close to 3,600 tonnes.
In terms of tea imports, the pattern was quite different, the UK stood out with a remakably high figure of about 14,000 tonnes, which was the highest among all categories, the USA came next importing around 9,000 tonnes, whereas germany and canada imported smaller quantities- around 6,000 and 4,000 tonnes respectively.
In summary, tea was most polular in the UK, whereas coffee was imported most heavily by canada, despite some difference, all four countries show significant demand for both tea and coffee, indicating their global popularity as beverages.
