The table presents data on the average yearly expenditure of university students in three distinct countries.
Overall, the total spending of students in country A was the highest compared to those in countries B and C. In each of the surveyed areas, the greatest portion of student budgets was spent on accommodation and food.
In Country A, student expenditure was the highest, amounting to $5,000 annually, in comparison with $4,500 and $1,500 spent by students in Countries B and C, respectively.
In Country A, accommodation constituted 45% of students’ total expenditure, whereas the proportions were lower for students in Country B at 35%, and Country C at 30%. In contrast, students in Country C allocated the highest percentage of their budget to food, at 36%, compared to 28% in Country B and just 22% in Country A.
Spending on books was also relatively high among students in Country C, accounting for 21% of their total expenses, while the corresponding figures for Countries B and A were significantly lower, at 9% and 3% respectively. Conversely, leisure activities accounted for 22% and 23% of student spending in Countries A and B, respectively, but only 12% in Country C.
