The pie charts illustrate the percentage of yearly expenditure that each student had in three countries around 2007. Overall, we can observe considerable similarity in terms of expenditure between countries A and C. However, the highest amount of expenditure in all three countries was allocated to accommodation alone.
Country A had the highest expenditure, while Country C had the lowest. The figures were approximately 6,000 and 2,500 US dollars, respectively. The largest percentage of expenditure across all three countries was for accommodation. Both Countries A and B spent about 45% of their expenses on accommodation, while Country C spent a slightly higher percentage of 50%.
Another similarity in expenditure trends can be observed in the allocation for other items. Among these, Country B had the highest expenses, totaling only 8%. Countries A and C spent almost the same percentage on food, with figures of 14% and 12%, respectively. In contrast, Country B allocated only 9% of its expenditure on food, which was equal to the amount they spent on books.
Countries A and C also spent a similar proportion of their expenditure on books, with percentages of 20% and 22%, respectively. However, when it comes to leisure expenses, Country B significantly outspent the other two countries, devoting 28% of its budget to leisure activities, while Country A and C spent 18% and 15%, respectively.
