The table illustrates the proportion of university students’ expenditure in Country A, Country B and Country C in five categories per year as well as average total outlays in these countries ($5,000, $4,500 and $ 1,500 respectively). Overall, the greatest spending is on accommodation among students from Country A, while there is the lowest outlay for other costs in Country C.
To start, accommodation outlays for it show the greatest percentage in Country A and Country B (45% and 35%, respectively) compared to Country C where it takes the second place (30%) because students spend most on food. Also, there is a need to spend from 22% to 28% of savings on food and leisure in Country A and Country B. In Country C spending on Leisure equals 12%.
In terms of books, spending in Country C (21%) is seven times as large as the figure in Country A and is around twice as great as the expenditure in Country B (9%). Finally, other outlays were under 8% in these countries.
