Overall, It can be noticed that people tended to use car to go to work compared to bicycle and walking. Public transport and bicycle modes experienced a rise in the proportion in 2000 and 2020 while car’s recorded a slight decrease, and walking mode remained stable over the given period.
Car accounted for the highest percentage of main modes of transport in London, beginning at 60% in 2000 before falling gradually by 10% in the next 20 years. However, public transport and cyclings made up 25% and 15% in 2000, respectively. Then, both modes rose slightly by 5% in 2020.
Compared to other types of transports, walking remained unchanged in over 20 years standing at 10%.
