A car and public transport were the most popular means of transport among all categories in both years. About 60% of people used car to commute in 2000. Nevertheless, this number fell to approximately 50% in 2020. The percentage of people who traveled to work by public transport in 2000 was around 25 compared to 30 in 2020.
On the other hand, using bicycle and walking were the least popular ways to get to work in London in 2000 and 2020. Only 5% of people commuted by bicycle in 2000. Nonetheless, this figure rose to about 10% by 2020. Percentage for walking remained the same in both years by approximately 10%.
