Overall, it is important to understand in which subjects many men and women participated. We can see that, in 5 out of 6 subjects, women outnumbered men in 2011.
According to the diagram, initially, the highest number of students in 5 subjects was female, in Linguistics at roughly 250. But, in Philosophy, it decreased to 150, and increased in English language and literature to 250. Thereafter, History and Archaeology dropped to almost 120, and Art and Design increased to a little higher than 150; this subject had more men than women. In the last subject, Communication and Media Studies, there were 230 students in 2011.
The graph demonstrates the number of male students in different subjects. In Linguistics, approximately 200 students. However, it reduced to 50 in Philosophy and increased to almost 250 students in English language and literature. Afterward, it dropped to 90 in History and Archaeology and climbed to 130 in Art and Design. The last subject, Communication and Media Studies, had 210 students.
