The bar chart displayed the number of segregation of employment based by roles and gender in Australia last year.
Overall, there was a significant gap between the total of male and female employees in almost every job type. Out of seven jobs, tradespeople were filled mostly by men, where most women worked as cleric.
The most prominent differences between the sex categories were on three job categories; managers, tradespeople, and production. In these three jobs, male employees dominated the gap. In production, there were 550 male employees, compared to 100 female employees. For managers role, female staffs only reached 200 people, while there were 600 male staffs. The widest gap was on tradespeople job, where 900 men worked there and only 100 women on the job.
In comparison, the number of female employees were seen to dominate two roles; professionals and clerical. Despite small variance between male and female employees in professional job, 700 female staffs worked there in comparison to 650 male staffs. In clerical work, the proportion of female employees were bigger at almost 1,000 people whereas there were roughly below 900 male employees.
