The bar chart provides information about the number of employees by occupation type and gender in Australia for the last year. It was evident that there were great discrepancies in figure according to both type of job and sex.
What is the most striking when looking at the chart is the fact that most jobs are dominated by male population, as opposed to women (except professionals and clerical). In almost every employment mentioned, the percentages for males outnumbered females, specifically 9 times for tradespeople. Similarly, managers and production also saw a significant difference in both sex, around 400 and 450 respectively. While the former ones had a huge gap between two genders, semi-professionals and labourers were reported to both have a disparity of around 100 each.
In stark contrast with the latter, professionals and clerical were the only two jobs where women took the lead. However, the figures for both males and females in these two jobs were nearly the same, with only a slight discrepancy of 50 and 100.
Although there was a great difference witnessed in each employment, it is likely that all the selected jobs had more than 600 workforces when combined men and women together, which was noticeably high in totals.
