The given bar graph reflects the popularity of each subject’s research for both genders in year 2005. As per graph, it can be easily seen that there are 7 subjects: linguistics, psychology, natural sciences, engineering, programming, and mathematics.
Overall, after a thorough analysis of the aforementioned chart, it can be briefly said that natural sciences are on the top of the table, they accounted the highest popularity for males and females. In contrast, female mathematics’ researchers were the rarest, as well as linguistics that recorded the least males’ research numbers.
However, male researchers were highly attracted to the following subjects: psychology, mathematics, and natural sciences. They reflected a majority by reaching 200 male students. On contrary, linguistics researches were the least popular for males in comparison to other subjects by recording nearly 80 student.
On the other hand, psychology and natural sciences have similarly received the majority of female students’ interest, 175 and 200 female students were interested in the research of these subjects respectively. Meanwhile, mathematics researches were almost neglected by females, because there were only 40 females participated in 2005. Eventually, engineering and programming subjects were moderately and equally popular for both genders.
