The bar chart provides information about the percentage of participation of both men and women in routine physical activity in six different age groups in Australia in 2010.
On the whole, males engaged in regular physical activity reduced, while that of the females remained relatively stable. In addition, The male participation declined initially and then increased later, a contrasting thing is seen in the female participation.
The share of males who occupied themselves in physical activity was higher in the 15 to 24 age group with 52.6% and had its least in the 35 to 44 age group with 39.5%, whereas the females had their peak in 45 to 54 age group with 53.3% and valley in 65 and above with 47.1%.
The masculine participation saw a initial decrease from 52.6% to 39.5% between 15-24 and 35-44 but later it rose to 46.7% between 45-54 and 65 and above, while the feminine had initial growth from 47.1% to 53.3% between 15-24 and 45-54 but it fell later to 47.1% between 45-54 and 65 and above. To conclude, the overall participation of females was higher than males.
