The bad chart compares the physical exercise of men and women in Australia in 2010. Participants are divided into 6 age groups. The results are given in percentages.
From an overall perspective, it can be seen that men are the most active at the age from of 15 to 24; however, then the number of them doing sport decreases. In contrast, under half of women from the youngest group are interested in physical activity; nevertheless, their interest grows with age and slightly wanes by the time they turn 65.
Regarding men, 52.8% of teenagers and young individuals work out regularly, while those between 35 and 44 are the least sportive, only 39.5%. With respect to the oldest generation, there are more men, 46.7%, who keep themselves in shape.
In the case of females, only 47.7% of girls aged 15-24 try to stay fit. Meanwhile, the rest of the age groups express more desire to train: 52.5% (35-44), 53.3%(45-54) and 53% (55-64). The figures of women above 65 are equal to those of their male peers.
