The chart compared the number of males and females in Australia who exercised regularly in 4 different age groups in 2010. Generally, it was apparent that the size of the female population who usually did physical activities was higher than the male population in most age groups.
To begin, the majority of regular work out was done by 3 groups of female Australians who were 35 to 64 years old, accounting for approximately 53% each. Conversely, the smallest percentage of women attending this kind of activities was the elders at 47.1%, followed by the younger generation at 47.7%
Furthermore, exercising was by far the most popular with young men at just under 53%, this generation was also the only group that the size of men working out was larger than women. However, the figures dropped by roughly 10% in the group of male citizens who are 25 to 44 years old, before it bounced back to 46.7% in the group of elderly men.
