The graph depicts the rate of males and females who did regular physical activity in various age brackets in Australia in 2010.
Overall, while there was no significant difference between them, the number of women in most age groups was higher compared to men. In younger ages more men participated in activity rather than women, however starting from the 25-34 age group the percentage of women surpassed men.
The 15-24 was the only age group that men exercised more at 52.5% compared to women at 47.7%. The opposite was true for other age gaps as 25-34 aged women accounted for 48.9%, while men only contributed for 42.2%. Starting from 35 years old, except 65 and over, nearly 50% of females exercised regularly, while this rate for men was between 39% and 45%.
The gap between men and women decreased in the age group of 65 and over. As only 0.4% separated them, the percentages were 46.7% and 47.1% respectively.
