The bar chart gives information about the proportion of men, women and children consumed suggested fruit and vegetables in the UK from 2002 to 2010.
Overall, the figures for both adults and children showed an increase throughout the given period, despite a minimal decline in the final year. It is also evident that adults, espicially women, showed higher figures for consumption of fruit and vegetables than children.
Women which was follwed by men, exhibited much bigger figures throughout the period. In 2002, the percentage of women was 25%, which was 3% higher than that of men. The proportion of both genders consumption rose significantly in 2006, with the former reaching 28%, while the latter increased to 32%. In 2010, however, these figures witnessed a noticable decrease, with the percentage of men falling to 24%, and tha of women to 27%.
In contrast, the proportion of children was noticeably smaller than adults, making up 11% in 2010. The figure for children saw a significant growth, reaching 16% in the following year. Despite this upward trend, the figure for children saw a slight decrease to 14%.
