The given bar chart throws light on three groups of Australian children taking part in various kinds of activities like watching tv, reading, art and riding a bike in the year of 2012. There are three age groups between the ages of 5-8 (blue), 9-11( orange) and 12-16 ( green) years old. The data is articulated in terms of percentage.
From the graph we can infer that the majority of Australian children enjoy watching television whereas a very less percentage of children enjoy doing art. The following bar chart contains both an upward and downward trend in terms of various extracurricular activities. It is worth noticing that children of all the age groups enjoy watching tv whereas a downward trend can be seen as the ages increase children lose interest in art and craft
Watching tv is the most enjoyable activity among all age groups with 91%, 92% and 98% respectively. It is also seen that ages between 5-8 years don’t enjoy reading (62%) as much as ages between 9 to 16 with both having 70%. Art as an activity is least enjoyed by ages of 12-16 years with 48% participation.
Subsequently , it can be seen that 78% of Australian children enjoy riding bikes between the ages of 5-8 years. Ages 9-11 don’t enjoy riding a bike as much as 12-16 year olds.
