The bar char illustrate the percentage contributions of India’s GPD in three different areas: agriculture, industry and services, between 1960 and 2000.
Overall, the highest point were able to peak agriculture and services sectors, in spite of leader position contributions in agriculture decreased drematically. The services’ contribution have grewn year by year. There were a fluctuation in industry sector in the given period.
As can be seen, initially the agriculture saw the highest data with approximately 64 percent in 1960. From 1970 to 1980, the agriculture kept the highest points, but in 1980 demonstrated similar data with services sector, it was around 45 percent of India’s GPD. There were a significant decline from 45 percent to nearly 15 percent, over 20 years, from 1980 to 2000.
On the other hand, in the beggining the services sector showed the lowest data in the bar chart – around 15 percent in 1960 and approximately 24 percent in 1970. Meanwhile, industry sector could demonstrated a considerable increase between 1980 and 2000. Despite on the lowest points in services, all of three different areas were outpacing by services in 2000. The industry sector, keeping fluctuations, remained stable.
