The bar chart illustrates data about the annual average spending on clothes per person in the United States in three different years: 1985, 1995 and 2005.
Overall, all expenditures maintained almost the same level. The most popular clothes are for women and the least popular clothes are for little boys.
In each year, boys’ items are making up approximately 100 dollars per person. For girls’ things that number marginally rose. In 1985 it was 100 dollars, and by 2005 it has increased to 150 dollars per person.
The clothes for adults are more profitable. As in the beginning , for men it was 300 per person, then it reached the peak of more than 400 dollars. However ,by 2005, spendings decreased to 400. Women’s clothes were almost equal in 1985 and 1995, and accounted for 500 dollars. In 2005, average annual spendings for women’s clothes were slightly higher than 600.
