The bar graph compares the distribution of five distinct age groups in three kinds of music events in Australia in the year 2006.
It is noticeable that popular music events were more popular among people aged under 44. Additionally, classical music consistently remained as the least favorite events compared to the other two categories, with the exception of people over 55.
Turning to details, the percentage of individuals aged between 15 to 24 choosing popular music was the highest, at 38%. This figure was far higher than opera and classical music, with just 13% and 11% respectively. A similar trend was observed in those who aged from 25 to 34 and those who are between 35 and 44, with the proportion of popular music allocated for over 25%.
While popular music was the number-one activity among the three mentioned age groups, the proportion dropped sharply to 13% within people who are between 45 and 54. Opera, for instead, overtook to be the preferred choice in this age group with 15%. Most people who were older than 55 chose opera (15%), followed by classical and popular music (8% and 5% respectively).
